Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before becoming a member or donating to the Aspire Party. By engaging with us, you agree to the terms outlined below, which comply with UK laws and regulations.

Donations

Donations to a political party in the UK are regulated by the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (PPERA).

Donors giving more than £500 must be registered on the UK electoral roll. We are required to verify this before accepting any donation.

Donations over £2,230 to a local Aspire Party group or over £11,180 to the national Aspire Party in a calendar year will be reported to the Electoral Commission, which will publish the donor’s name and the amount. Your address will not be made public.

Donations must be made from the donor’s own funds, and not on behalf of another person or entity. Concealing the true source of a donation is a criminal offence.

Donations to political parties are not tax-deductible.

This donation platform is intended primarily for individuals, but UK companies, trade unions, unincorporated associations, and LLPs may also contribute in accordance with electoral law.

Membership

By joining the Aspire Party, you agree to uphold the values, aims, and principles of the party and to abide by its Constitution and Code of Conduct.

You must reside in the UK and, if eligible, be registered to vote at your current address.

You confirm that you are not a member of any other registered political party, unless an affiliation is approved by Aspire Party rules.

Provisional membership begins when your application is received and recorded on the party’s national register. It lasts for eight weeks, during which your full membership may be subject to approval.

During the provisional period, you may attend meetings in a non-voting capacity. If your application is declined, you will be notified and, depending on the reason, you may have a right to appeal.

Full membership policies and rights are available upon request or in the party rulebook.

Communications and Data

By supplying your personal information to register as a member, donor, or supporter, you agree that the Aspire Party, its elected representatives, or candidates may contact you via the details you provide.

You may receive emails, SMS, phone calls, or postal communications related to campaigns, internal elections, events, or volunteering opportunities.

You can opt out of emails using the unsubscribe link in any message or stop text messages via the appropriate SMS reply.

Aspire Party will not share your personal information with third parties outside the party without your explicit consent, except where required by law (e.g. Electoral Commission reporting).

Supporters and Affiliates

Supporters affiliated through a recognised organisation may be entitled to participate in specific internal party votes or consultations.

By registering as an affiliated supporter, you consent to Aspire Party and your affiliated organisation exchanging your details solely for eligibility verification.

You may receive digital ballots and election-related materials via the contact information you provide.

Candidates in Aspire Party internal elections may contact you only if you have opted in.

You have rights under UK data protection law, including to access or amend your personal information. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy or contact info@aspireparty.uk.
